Exion Face

Exion Face is the first needle free treatment to boost hyaluronic acid in the skin by as much as 224% whilst also promoting overall skin health by increasing the natural production of collagen and elastin. Exion treatments are suitable for those looking to improve skin quality, hydration, and volume.

What is Exion treatment for face?

As we age, the body’s ability to produce hyaluronic acid diminishes significantly and low levels of hyaluronic acid (HA) lead to decreased skin hydration and facial volume loss. This reduction causes collagen and elastin disorganisation, resulting in the appearance of wrinkles.

Exion Face boosts hyaluronic acid in the skin with its combination of monopolar radiofrequency (RF) and targeted ultrasound, producing more effective results in skin tightening and rejuvenation than either technology would alone. This dual-action approach maximises treatment efficacy, offering superior skin rejuvenation and tightening compared to traditional methods that use RF or ultrasound individually.

How does Exion Face work?

Exion Face harnesses controlled radiofrequency (RF) and ultrasound energy to effectively target fine lines, wrinkles, and treat skin laxity in the face, neck, and décolletage. This innovative technology boosts natural hyaluronic acid production, and supports collagen stimulation and elastin synthesis.

As a result, it promotes firmer, smoother skin with improved skin laxity, increased elasticity and a rejuvenated appearance.

What are the benefits of Exion Face?

Exion Face uses radiofrequency (RF) and targeted ultrasound to stimulate the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin. Increasing the amount of these natural elements in the skin improves skin laxity and reduces the appearance of:

  • Forehead lines
  • Fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes
  • Droopy brows
  • Neck lines
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Ageing skin
  • Uneven skin texture
Exion Face treatment increases hyaluronic acid by 224%

Who is a suitable candidate for Exion Face treatment?

Anyone looking to enhance their skin’s appearance, irrespective of age or skin type, can benefit from a hyaluronic acid-enhancing treatment to boost hydration, improve skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

As this treatment stimulates collagen and elastin in addition to hyaluronic acid to provide deep hydration and improved structural support, it is a particularly suitable treatment for those experiencing:

  • Dryness
  • Dullness
  • Early signs of ageing
  • Fine lines
  • Skin laxity

How long does Exion Face treatment take?

Treatment with the Face applicator takes anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

How to prepare for Exion Face treatment

Very little preparation is required prior to treatment. We recommend patients avoid excessive sun exposure in the weeks prior, and to remain well hydrated on the day of your appointment. Drinking plenty of water and remaining hydrated ensures optimal delivery of the radiofrequency energy into the skin.

What to expect during the treatment

Upon arrival you’ll be taken through to a treatment room where your face is cleansed, clinical photographs will be taken and a VISIA Skin Analysis Scan will be performed. Following this, your practitioner will commence your treatment by placing a grounding pad on you, and applying a cooling gel to the treatment area. Lastly, the handpiece is glided across the face to deliver the radiofrequency and ultrasound energy in to both the dermal and deep skin layers.

Treatment is comfortable, with patients reporting a warm sensation being felt as the handpiece glides across their skin and energy is delivered into the deeper layers.

What are the results of Exion Face?

Patients notice an improvement in skin laxity and skin texture. Initial results will be seen 4 weeks following your course of treatment, with your skin taking on a plumper, tighter and firmer appearance.

How many sessions are required?

Whilst treatments help to boost hyaluronic acid production, and increase collagen and elastin synthesis, it does not stop the ageing process. We recommend an initial course of 4 treatments performed 1 week apart, with maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months as required.

What are the risks and side effects of Exion Face applicator?

Mild redness may be present shortly following your treatment as a result of the thermal and mechanical stress. This redness usually resolves within 1 to 4 hours. Most patients experience minimal downtime and resume normal activities after Exion treatments.

FAQ

How long does Exion Face last?

Results following the initial course of 4 treatments can last up to 12 months. However it must be noted that treatment does not stop the natural ageing process, and results can vary from person to person. For optimal results we recommend a course of 4 treatments performed 1 week apart, followed by 6 or 12 month maintenance Exion treatments.

Does Exion Face hurt?

A warm sensation can be felt as the radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound delivers energy into the skin to stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid. Use of ultrasound gel reduces the amount of heat felt and any discomfort from this non-invasive treatment.

How much is Exion Face?

The price for treatment depends on the specific areas being treated, and a quote tailored to your specific requirements will be provided in your initial consultation. The cost for a thorough consultation can be found on our pricing page.

What is the difference between Emface and Exion?

EmFace uses synchronised Radiofrequency (RF) and HIFES energies emitted at the same time. The RF heating increases collagen and elastin fibres while the HIFES emits thousands of pulses per session to contract and tone your facial muscles to provide lift.

On the other hand, the monopolar radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound of Exion Face works together to increase hyaluronic acid production and stimulate collagen and elastin production.

Used together, these two treatments can be combined to combat multiple visible signs of ageing and improve skin health.

Can Exion Face be combined with other treatments?

There are several treatments and other devices which complement radiofrequency and ultrasound, some which should be performed in a separate appointment. Depending on the skin concerns being treated and the desired results, some options may include:

  • Fractional RF Needling: a combination of radiofrequency energy and microneedling targeting scar tissue and promoting the production of new, healthy skin cells. This process helps to smooth and reduce the appearance of acne scarring.
  • Chemical Peels: peels exfoliate the skin’s surface, removing dead cells and promoting cell turnover, which improves skin texture, tone, and clarity.
  • EMFACE: specifically targets and tones facial muscles that become weaker as we age, which can assist with facial contouring and lifting.
  • Wrinkle Reducing Treatments: wrinkle treatment can address expression lines therefore providing a multi-faceted approach to facial rejuvenation.
  • Laser Treatments: lasers can address skin concerns such as pigmentation and redness, providing a comprehensive strategy to skin rejuvenation.
  • Exion Body: areas of the body can be treated using the Exion Body applicator. The body applicator is a versatile body solution to promote fat cell apoptosis, which is the programmed death of fat cells, leading to a reduction in fat tissue. With integrated active cooling, the energy effectively reaches the fat tissue while reducing discomfort.
